Google, Verizon finalising mobile search pact

The deal under discussion would make Google the default search provider on Verizon handsets. The two companies would split ad revenue from the service, according to the Journal, which cited unnamed sources. Verizon is the second largest wireless carrier in the U.S., falling behind AT&T in terms of subscribers.
