Why you must not use Google Chrome

4 September 2008 One Comment

The Devil is in the details, it’s the latter part of the terms of use of chrome that is making people nervous. Google Chrome users must agree that:

“By submitting, posting or displaying the content you give Google a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, and non-exclusive license to reproduce, adapt, modify, translate, publish, publicly perform, publicly display and distribute any content which you submit, post or display on or through, the services. This license is for the sole purpose of enabling Google to display, distribute and promote the services and may be revoked for certain services as defined in the additional terms of those services.”
So are you ready to share your expensive content and privacy with Google just because you are using its browser or should we wait for Google to make changes to these unacceptable terms of use.
Here we are again at the same position when people were tired and angry with Microsoft dominance of web browser and hoped that Google will liberate them from Microsoft’s tyranny but as Google is growing it is turning into a monster itself with much more dangerous ambitions and intentions.

Read the fine details of user agreement
Gartenberg noted that when you download Chrome, you receive a unique browser identifier number. That means Google not only knows what people are typing, but Google also knows what browser it came from.
“People may want to read the fine print on that license agreement very carefully in terms of what you are sending back to Google,” Gartenberg advised. “It always pays to read the fine print.”

Seems fine but this is wat has been happening with google even when you search for something.

You get personlized Ad’s and web clips in gmail as per your mail contents. it means google is reading your mail too. But we all have to agree that if you want something for free you need to give something for free.
Usage statistics and information are required by google so that they can make money with it.

i do not think they spying on you. they arent collecting your IP address so ur still a ghost with browser ID.
