Zumodrive adds 100 GB to iPhone

26 February 2009 No Comment

zumoZumoDrive is the first service to give users the experience of having their entire media libraries with them on any device, and ZumoDrive’s “Supersize Me” application makes this possible on the iPhone. There are a lot of online storage  products out there to choose from, ranging from Microsoft Foldershare, dropbox and Sharpcast but ZumoDrive stores your data in the cloud and allows easy access to all of your files from any device. Zumodrive lets you access them (even via iTunes) in a way that makes them appear local and your most popular of your  files Zumodrive stores them locally for offline use. ZumoDrive’s “Supersize Me” iPhone application is available in the Music and Utilities categories of the Apple App Store.

Pricing

You will still get 1GB of free storage and the 10GB ’starter plan’ will still cost you $2.99 a month. If you need more space, however, then 25GB will now set you back $6.99, 50GB $11.99, and 100GB $19.99 per month. The regular price of “Supersize Me” is $4.99, but ZumoDrive is giving the application away free for a limited time as a special introductory offer.

Cons

If you are looking for a backup solution or an easy way to sync your folders between different machines, then ZumoDrive is not necessarily the best way to go. Instead, we think that the best way to use ZumoDrive is in conjunction with its iPhone app.
