SlingPlayer and E-Book Reader for BlackBerry

BlackBerry is going to get the a big multimedia boost with a SlingPlayer and electronic book reader application.

Sling Media has announced that their SlingPlayer Mobile application is now available to all RIM BlackBerry users.

Users will have the ability to turn on “low-bandwidth streaming, an enhanced aspect ratio or display mode support and audio track selection in the channel program, if available.”

BlackBerry user who prefers the written word, Barnes & Noble launched an e-book reader for the smartphone. The app lets users access more than 60,000 titles from eReader.com or Barnes & Noble’s catalog of e-books. The e-reader can be downloaded from Fictionwise’s Web site.
