Verizon MiFi Can Reduce Data Bill

9 May 2009 No Comment

Some websites are claiming that Mifi can even kill Cell Phone in future. The latest wireless product which as thick as business card and launched by Verizon enables  users to access wireless network on the go. The MiFi is a battery powered EVDO modem which can turn 3G radio waves into small WiFi network and user can access internet with his laptop or other devices like ipod and gaming consoles.
The Two Data plans available currently with Mifi are a $40 plan which gives 250 MB with 10 cent on every extra MB and a $60 plan which gives  5GB and 5 cents on every extra MB. There is also a 24 hour DayPass plan for $15.
The current rate options are not very attactive and may take some time before people start using it as primary internet connection but this device is so sleek and easy to use that it will become popular in coming months. If Verizon or any other company starts to offer lower rates then one day it may kill a cell phone and user will use Voip rather than complicated data and roaming plans.
