iPhone OverHeating Mystery Solved

The white handsets of Apple’s new iPhone 3GS as claimed by many users is getting so hot that it glows pink. The reports started coming from France that after long use of Wi-Fi and 3G used in combination with games causes overheating of phone.
Aaron Vronko of Rapid Repair, which performed the tear-down of latest iPhone 3GS claims that overheating issue could be related to faulty battery cells and since these batteries are produced in large scale it could turn out that many iPhone users end up returning the iPhone 3GS.
Apple is reaping what it had sowed as the company intentionally hardwired the batteries and it can only be replaced at Apple store so now if users start returning phones then Apple will have no choice but to replace the whole unit.
On Apple’s support forums, iPhone owners have been complaining about the problems. “My iPhone 3GS back get somewhat warm when playing a few mins of games. Is this normal?,” asks one user, Dreamcast DC. “I am having the same issue,” reports Ron Lift. Several other users have also complained that the iPhone 3GS, which is supposed to boast a longer battery life than the iPhone 3G, in fact loses its charge quicker than its predecessor.
Heating problems with the Iphone have been around for a while. Most phones tend to warm up a bit during extended use. PC World hack Melissa Perenson seems to think it is nothing to worry about as her T-Mobile G1 also got a bit hot, so nothing to see here move along please. She said that the discolouration only seems to affect white phones and the black ones are much nicer anyway.
