iPhone Porn Application “Hottest Girls” Getting Too Hot For Apple

Hottest Girls application for Apple iPhone was removed from App Store as this was the first app which can easily get an A certificate with topless images of more than 2000 women. The Hottest Girls was first introduced in May 2009 – quickly rose to fame as the most popular “bikini girl in the app store.”
Developer Allen Leung had proudly told Macenstein, “We uploaded nude topless pics today. This is the first app to have nudity.”
Leunge may have made one boast too many. The application, “Hottest Girls,” was available Wednesday to users of the iPhone and iPod Touch, but has since been pulled from the store. “Apple will not distribute applications that contain inappropriate content, such as pornography,” Apple spokesman Tom Neumayr said. “The developer of this application added inappropriate content directly from their server after the application had been approved and distributed, and after the developer had subsequently been asked to remove some offensive content.
The question is: how far will Apple let app developers go? Nude body parts are on thing; softcore sex acts are another, and hardcore sex acts – arguably the most lucrative category of applications that fall into the adult category – are in a completely different league. Many app developers will try to push the borders in the following months; Apple, having been inconsistent over their app policies as they are, will have a tough time making a clear distinction between what’s OK and what’s forbidden.
