T-Mobile’s MyTouch 3G Is Only G1 Without Keyboard
Today on 9th July T-Mobile launched its MyTouch 3g phone, available for online pre orders the company is promising delivery by 5th of august 2009. MyTouch 3G is an attempt by T-Mobile to keep pace with its rivals as they are already ahead in the race.
MyTouch 3G is a variant of the Google Ion and HTC Magic with features like Wifi, digital music player and seamless integration with Google Apps. As people are more interested in the release date for HTC Hero and responding this query T-Mobile CTO Cole Brodman said the carrier has no plans to bring the HTC Hero to the market.
MyTouch 3G comes with improved Android operating system, very attaractive price tag of $199 and most important unlike G1 it has no keyboard. Better equipped T-Mobile is expecting MyTouch 3G to beat out its predecessor both on features and sales.
Following the footsteps of Sprint Nextel “Ready Now” Program, T-Mobile will also start “Make It Work”, where store representatives will help customers set up their MyTouch phones. Some of industry experts said that MyTouch 3G is just a G1 but now they are marketing it differently.
