Verizon Offering HTC Touch Pro 2 For Only $200 With 3.5mm Jack

Verizon launched its latest smartphone the HTC Touch Pro 2 with an attractive price tag of $200, which is $150 less than what Sprint and T-Mobile are charging.
Verizon will offer the Windows Mobile smartphone for $199.99 with a two-year contract and after a $100 mail-in rebate. It’s also packing the much sought after 3.5mm jack.
The Touch Pro2 is a combination CDMA and GSM world phone with EV-DO Rev A data support here in the U.S. It also has Wi-Fi, a 3.2-megapixel camera with auto-focus, a Qualcomm MSM 7600A 528MHz CPU, and 288MB of RAM. The 6.3-ounce device comes with an extended 1500 mAh battery promising over five hours of talk time.
In other Verizon handset news, the carrier said that it would launch the Nokia 7705 Twist, a square-shaped messaging phone that twists open to reveal a full Qwerty keypad. The Twist will be sold for $99.99 with a two-year contract and after a $50 mail-in rebate, beginning online Sept. 13 and in stores Sept. 21.
