iPhone Jailbreak: How To Use GeoHot Latest Blackra1n RC2 With Fixed Bugs

The latest version of blackra1n from GeoHot promises to jailbreak the iPhone OS 3.1.2 with ease and comes with few fixed bugs reported from last version.

The Blackra1n RC2 fixes the following isssues:

  • Tethered jailbreak for 3.1 OOTB ipt 8GB and new 3GSes
  • Solved Icy issues
  • Fixed 3G issues

The Blackra1n RC2 comes for both PC as well as Mac users. The latest version is for those who were not able to jailbreak successfully using the last RC1 version.

If you are facing problems like hang up and blank screen then:

  1. you should reset your iPhone (remove all contents and erase settings)
  2. After resetting update to iTunes
  3. Now run Blackra1n RC2

Note: To reset your iPhone go to Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and settings.

Warning from GeoHot site: Warning 3g and 3gs unlockers, do not upgrade to 3.1.2 using iTunes if you want to keep your unlock. Baseband cannot be downgraded. Check out the dev team’s offerings. Also blackra1n doesn’t hacktivate.
