Blacksn0w: iPhone 3.1.2 Ultimate Unlock From Geohot Unlocks The Dreaded Baseband 05.11.07
Good news from George Hotz or Geohot, he has just announced that he has successfully unlocked the latest unbreakable baseband of iPhone 05.11.07.
Geohot, who first jailbroke OS 3.1.2, is now also the first to crack the 3.1.2 baseband. Previously, anyone who had unlocked their phone at version 3.0 or lower was fine as long as they were careful when upgrading, but anyone running 3.1 or higher was out of luck.
The new app called, Blacksn0w, will allow iPhone users to use their phone on non-Apple sanctioned carriers.
Blacksn0w will be released on November 4th, so just be patient for a few more days. Also expected is the iPhone 3GS prices to fall considerably in the market once this tool comes out . So if you can postpone your 3GS purchase till November 4th it may benefit you.
