Google Earth for the iPhone has released an update which offers improved performance and enhanced icon selection.
The features added to the Google Earth 2.0 app includes:
- iPhone users can save maps they are interested in so they’ll appear when the user log in to the iPhone app with the same credentials. Also the iPhone user can now build their own maps in Google Earth manually or by hooking up a GPS-enabled device and turning the location data into a KML file.
- Icon selection is easier in version 2.0. Now, when you touch an icon, a small glow shows up under your finger to tell you which icon you have chosen. If your finger happens to touch more than one icon, the app will take you to a list of all icons. You can then pick the one you want from the list.
- Google has also made it easier to view local listings and has added 13 languages to the app.
