iPhone Virus ikee Does Nothing But Irritate Developed By Aussie AssHole

Jailbroken iPhone users are reporting from across Australia about a virus that replaces default wallpaper with a picture of Rick Astley, the pop singer.
Virus Ikee doesn’t do anything particularly bad except that it changes the victim’s jailbroken iPhone’s wallpaper but it may be modified to do something more dangerous such as stealing sensitive information from the iPhone. “There is a real danger that someone could take this code and make it do something malicious,” said Graham Cluley, a technology consultant with security vendor Sophos.
Ashley Towns, the 21-year-old Wollongong asshole also known by the names “Ikee” and “Ikex” took credit for the attack, affects only jailbroken iPhones whose owners have installed SSH and neglected to change the default root password, “alpine.” Once a phone is infected, the worm searches for other vulnerable phones in the user’s mobile network.
In spite of claims by Ashley Towns that the worm was easy to remove, a number of iPhone users on the Whirlpool forum complained about its effects, and the quantity of bandwidth it had used up.
