Playing Xbox 360 Online Proved Costly For Jeremiah Gilliam

Jeremiah Gilliam, 22, a suspected serial burglar was arrested in New York with the help of a stolen video game console.

The victim whose Xbox was stolen used another Xbox to go online and spotted his video game console in use. The suspected burglar was caught after playing the stolen game console online allowing authorities to trace the IP address to his grandmother’s apartment in the Bronx.

The detectives found dozens of video games, laptops, and GPS devices believed to have been stolen from as many as 200 car break-ins and several home burglaries in Westchester County. According to reports, Gilliam was already under police investigation for his suspected involvement in 13 unlocked car burglaries, the New York Post reported Friday.
