iPhone Multitasking Made Possible: Multifl0w App Available On Cydia

12 January 2010 No Comment

The ability to multitask has not been made available to iPhone users yet despite been one of the common features on most smartphones.

Developer Aaron Ash has come up with a new app Multiflow that allows user to multitask on jailbroken iPhone. The app is built over Backgrounder, which allows iPhone apps to run in the background.

Multiflow,  lets you open multiple applications and also helps in identifying all these iPhone apps running in the background with a badge. Additionally it slides through all the open apps and easily toggle between them. Simply, Double-tapping iPhone home button takes the user to the multifl0w screen where all the open apps are displayed. Tapping on an app displays it in full screen for user to work on while the other apps continue to run in the background. It runs quite well on iPhone 3GS since the higher RAM capacity means the user can toggle between a lot more iPhone apps.

Presently, there are a few minor bugs which includes a springboard crash when the multifl0w app is opened simultaneously with another loading app. The app developer says soon the bug would be rectified.

The app can be tried for free and costs only $4.99, a small price to pay for such a valuable utility. The app is already available on Rock and Cydia.
