Microsoft’s Zune Phone will provide customers that Nexus failed to give in 2010. Microsoft’s Pink phone is a right step in the right direction and may provide buyers the ultimate option againstĀ  iPhone dominance.

According to technology analysts, the Zune Phone might see an announcement at the MWC or at CTIA in March 2010. The Zune Phone referred to as the Pink phone will include high-definition touchscreen, 5 megapixel camera and the most anticipated Windows Mobile 7 OS which Microsoft calls “Seven”.

Microsoft Windows Mobile 7 or “Seven” will come in two versions:

1. Windows Mobile 7 Business Edition: Stripped down edition of Windows Mobile 7 designed to give OEMs more control over customization will allow users to work on Office documents remotely in concurrence with other users and have changes synched to the cloud.

2. Windows Mobile 7 Media Edition: Targeting the main consumer of cell phone devices, this version will come loaded with full support for Silverlight, Xbox Live, Mediaroom, Zune Music and Social media sites interfaces.

According to the MobileCrunch Windows Mobile 7 won’t be backward-compatible with previous versions, and developers will have to rewrite their apps.
