Verizon Motorola Devour: A Droid With Disappointing Android 1.6
Verizon has learned the trick with the Droids and now the company is offering another android phone called the Motorola Devour with MotoBlur services and a capacitive touch screen.
Unlike other reviews let’s have the bad things first:
1. Android 1.6 OS: What could be the logic behind launching a futuristic smartphone with OS from the past. Motorola Devour comes with Android 1.6, instead of 2.0, or the latest 2.1 version.
2. Camera: A 3 megapixel camera without auto focus feature.
The good things:
Touchscreen: A 3.1 inch capacitive touchscreen display at HVGA resolution and may even support multitouch.
Memory: 8GB microSD card included, up to 32GB supported.
MotoBlur: Motorola’s propriety software that gives easy access to social-networking services like Facebook and Twitter, as well as consumer and business e-mail accounts.
