gmail ipad iPad Tricks: How To Trick Gmail Enabling Two Pane View

Google on Friday has launched its new Gmail app for Apple Ipad joining with other companies announcing applications for Apple’s tablet computer iPad.

The Gmail app for iPad comes with an added two-pane user interface feature which the company has termed as experimental. The new feature is added to take advantage of iPad’s large touchscreen without physical keyboard.

If you have not yet managed to get your hands on iPad then there is a trick for you which will bring Gmail’s two pane advantage to your computer.

For Firefox browser:

First download an extension “User Agent Switcher”

After installing UAS(user agent switcher), find its options in the Tools menu at the top of your browser. You will find a new option for “default user agent”, select that, then “edit user agents” in the sub-menu. Now opt to create a new user agent. Clear out all the text boxes that are already filled out, then give it a name “iPad”, and drop the following user agent text in the user agent box.

Mozilla/5.0 (iPad; U; CPU OS 3_2 like Mac OS X; en-us)
AppleWebKit/531.21.10 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.4 Mobile/7B334b
Safari/531.21.10

Now log in to your Gmail and enjoy the new feature.
