android HTC EVO Storage Bug Identified: OTA Fix Is Now Available

HTC EVO users are reporting a new bug related to Flash storage and facing errors like “insufficient file permissions” when attempting to write to the packed-in card, some are even finding that the phone is simply fail to read the card altogether.

HTC spokesman Keith Nowak indicated they have identified the cause and there’s an OTA fix coming “very shortly.” The latest from HTC indicates that a 13MB OTA update is already available, version 1.32.651.6 which include a solution for the storage bug is recommended for HTC EVO users as the update fixes a number of other bugs.

Note: The update is also killing the root option so users should decide carefully before installing the latest update.
