iWork On iPhone Will Bring Pages, Numbers And Keynote
According to rumours, a series of screenshots has been leaked which illustrate to be a version of Apple’s iWork productivity suite for the iPhone. But this can be fake also altogether.
Although there has been no official note from Apple yet, but 9 to 5 Mac blog posted several screenshots of the alleged pages of an app for iPhone and iPod touch devices. The blog however indicates that iWork for iPhone will soon be available from the App Store. It claims that iWork for iPhone will come with the Pages and Numbers apps as universal binaries for all iOS devices.
Apple has been already delivering iBooks as a single universal app for the iPhone and iPad. Universal iWork apps for the iPhone will signify that if you already purchased the apps for your iPad, you won’t have to pay again for the iPhone version. But how warmingly will the crowd welcome this app is the major concern for Apple.
iWork is Apple’s retort to Microsoft’s Office suite, and the company introduced in April a $10 mobile version of iWork solely for the iPad. iWork brings mutually three separate apps: these are Pages for word processing, Numbers for spreadsheets, and Keynote for presentations.
We heard rumors of an iPhone version of iWork last in June, when an Apple iOS4 support document revealed a screenshot with an open in Keynote menu option, part of the Mail app’s potential to open documents with external applications. The screenshot was later removed though. Now it again pops up….but this time also the authenticity of its arrival stays missing.
