Samsung Captivate: Android With Graphics 3 Times Faster Than Snapdragon

AT&T has now received the most powerful Android phone in its arsenal, the Samsung Captivate boasts 1GHz Hummingbird that processes graphics 3 times faster than Snapdragon.
AT&T is going to launch the phone in next few months in the market already captured by iPhone 4, Droid X and HTC EVO. The carrier is expecting that the spec wise Samsung Captivate will allow them to convince the customer into their fold.
Samsung Captivate has a hardware profile similar to that on the Samsung Galaxy S, which is currently the most powerful Android phone from the manufacturer. The phone comes with features that include:
- Android 2.1(may change to Froyo when launched)
- Samsung TouchWiz 3.0
- 4 inch Super AMOLED touchscreen
- 1GHz Hummingbird Processor

The versatile gestures provide simpler and faster access to many applications including location-based services, browsing and picture gallery.
Gaming Feature
the Samsung Captivate comes with inbuilt six-axis sensor that combines the smartphone’s accelerometer and gyroscope to provide a smooth, fluid gaming experience when the user is tilting the device up or down or panning the phone to the left or right.
Connectivity
The Samsung Captivate will access the AT&T’s High Speed Packet Access (HSPA) 7.2 Mbps technology, which the carrier is promising will provide a considerable speed boost to the existing 3G network when paired with expanded backhaul.
Music And Multimedia
The phone comes with future access to Samsung Media Hub, a full library of video and literary content powered by some of the biggest names in entertainment. The Captivate will feature a pre-loaded app that can take users to download Media Hub in the future.
