You must have heard of dual SIM handset and may even have used one to access two different carriers on one phone, but soon you can buy GSM phones, which can take three SIMs in their belly.
Spreadtrum technology has unveiled its new single chip that enables support for three SIM cards within a single handset. Spreadtrum SC6600L7 is world’s first triple SIM in single chip solution, which allows three GSM SIM cards running simultaneously in a single mobile handset.
Trials have just wrapped up in many countries according to Spreadtrum, and you may soon find a triple SIM mobile phone in your market.
