Download Palm Pre WebOS Update: Improved Battery Life

Sprint unveiled the 1.3.5 update for the webOS running on its Palm Pre and Palm Pixi smartphones. The upgrade is currently limited to the US model of the Palm Pre.

Palm WebOS 1.2 Includes Improved Exchange Support And Paid Apps

Palm Pre release of WebOS 1.2 will make the Pre smartphone more enterprise-friendly, an upgrade that includes support for paid apps in the Palm Catalog store and over-the-air downloads from Amazon’s MP3 Store.

Palm’s attempt to get the USB Implementers’ Forum to intervene has failed as the USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF) said that Palm could be violating its membership agreement by allegedly misusing Apple’s USB Vendor ID number in order to fool iTunes into thinking the Pre is an iPhone.

Palm Pixi: The Thinnest Phone Yet From Palm

Palm released its thinnest handset yet the Palm Pixi, designed to utilize the full potential of new WebOS operating system from Palm.
Palm Pixi is packed with features mainly aimed at younger consumers, the smartphone will be longer but slimmer than the Pre and will sport a smaller multitouch screen, a full QWERTY keyboard, and a 2-megapixel camera, Palm said.

Apple iTunes 8.2.1 Update Bad For Palm Pre Owners

After killing the Palm Pre-iTunes synchronization with the latest iTunes 8.2.1 update, Apple issued a statement that “iTunes 8.2.1 provides a number of important bug fixes and addresses an issue with verification of Apple devices.” When asked for comment, Palm management replied “Palm’s media sync works with iTunes 8.2.
