Skype for symbian based phone has passed its beta phase and now available for download from Nokia Ovi Store or even through Skype download page for symbian.

The stable Skype for Nokia phones have different clients for different handsets, including Nokia N97 mini and the latest Nokia X6.

The official Skype app for Symbian phones boasts all the Skype features like:

• Calling and receiving VoIP calls
• Support for IM and international SMS
• Capable of transferring files
• The Skype client for Nokia is integrated with the phone’s camera and address book

The Skype app is currently compatible with:

1) TouchScreen: Nokia N97, Nokia N97 mini, Nokia X6, Nokia 5800 XpressMusic and Nokia 5530

2) Non TouchScreen devices: Nokia E72, Nokia E71, Nokia E90, Nokia E63, Nokia E66, Nokia E51, Nokia N96, Nokia N95, Nokia N95 8GB, Nokia N85, Nokia N82, Nokia N81, Nokia N81 8 Gb, Nokia N79, 230603 , Nokia 6220 classic, Nokia 6210 Navigator, Nokia 5320.

Nokia has good news for Rihanna fans, as the company has launched a free Rihanna app compatible with Nokia 5800 Xpress, N97 and Nokia X6.

The application delivers news, music, photos and video content to Rihanna fans. Additionally, there are music samples, a Rihanna biography and photo library, as well as information on the forthcoming 2010 tour.

A direct link to the Nokia Music Store is included in the Rihanna App as well.

Ported from the original Frodo for Amiga, the game is a Commodore 64 home PC emulator.

The Frodo v1.6 supports S60 5th edition phones which have a touch screen. There are e.g. on-screen controls and c64 keyboard that is usable by touch.

Newer Frodos support also sensors (accelerometer), vibration, on-screen C64 keyboard and audio engine. To enable those those features, you have to install Bilbo library also. Imagine playing Pitstop II by rotating your phone like a steering wheel, or solving Quedex maze by turning the phone in any direction. If you do not want just imagine, look at the YouTube video below and after that get Frodo and Bilbo to your phone! The first video is about Frodo 1.5 (s60 3rd ed.) and second about Frodo 1.6 (s60 5th ed.). Note that sensors and vibration is not supported in all S60 phone models.

Frodo & Bilbo should work for most Nokia phones especially S60 5th edition phones: Nokia 5800XM, N97, 9500, N7650, NGage, N95, E90, etc. I am not sure about Samsung, SonyEricsson etc. phones.

Note: If the (green) call key is a touch button, like in N97, you cannot use it as a fire button (disturbs touch controls). Other options for the fire button are: Volume+ key, select key and space key.
